Cleaning and turnovers in New Brunswick

A city built around arrivals and departures

Between the Rutgers campuses, Robert Wood Johnson and Saint Peter's, New Brunswick has an unusually high share of people who live there for one, two or three years rather than twenty.

That produces a steady stream of move in and move out cleans. Tenants who want the deposit back, landlords turning a unit before the next lease, residents and staff arriving from out of state who would rather not start in someone else's kitchen.

The summer crunch is real. Leases stack up in July and August and everybody wants the same fortnight, so the earlier you book those dates the better. Outside that window we are usually flexible at short notice.

Downtown apartments, and the houses behind them

The downtown around George Street is apartments and condos, many of them newer buildings. Those are quick, contained jobs and they suit a weekly or bi-weekly recurring visit for people working long hospital or lab hours.

Away from the center there are older single-family neighborhoods with families who have been there for decades, and those are ordinary house cleaning: bigger, more rooms, often wanting an annual deep clean as well.

There is also short-term rental activity here, driven by the hospitals and the university calendar. Those are turnovers rather than cleans, with linens and restocking on a tight clock.

Fifteen minutes from our office

New Brunswick is about 9.2 miles from us in Middlesex, roughly fifteen minutes, and it is on the same run as several of our other regular towns.

For turnovers and move outs that proximity is the whole point. When a handover date shifts by a day, which it often does, being close enough to move the visit rather than cancel it is what keeps the schedule working.

We also cover Piscataway across the river and Edison to the north.

Working around hospital and campus hours

A lot of New Brunswick works shifts, and shift workers are the hardest people to schedule a cleaner around. Nights, rotating rosters, a week of days followed by a week of something else.

The arrangement that works is a key or a door code and a fixed slot, so nobody has to coordinate anything. We come whether you are asleep, at the hospital or across town, and the place is done when you next see it.

If you would rather not have anyone in while you are sleeping, tell us and we will fix a daytime slot on a day you are out. Either way it is worth setting once and leaving it.
